My name is Jhasiim Wiltshire. I was born and raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Croix) and relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 2017. I am a mother of four boys, a dedicated volleyball coach, and the owner of Jha’s Pastry Studio, LLC; where creativity, leadership, and community engagement intersect. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Information Systems from the University of the Virgin Islands. I’ve accumulated over 15 years of experience in education, having begun my career as a Special Education Paraprofessional. Motivated by a deep commitment to student growth and equity, I continued my professional development by earning a Master of Science in Teaching with Technology and a Master of Education in Special Education. While completing my graduate studies, I transitioned into a teaching role, further expanding my impact within the classroom. Throughout my career, I cultivated a strong passion for inclusive education and has worked collaboratively with skilled educators and service providers to design innovative interventions, foster meaningful collaboration with grade-level teams, and support diverse learning needs. I am well-versed in creating safe, structured, and supportive learning and working environments that help students with specific learning disabilities develop socially while progressing toward academic, functional, adaptive, and life skills goals. My approach centers on individualized supports and the belief that all students are capable of growth when given access to the right tools and opportunities. Although my work focuses closely on students with learning disabilities, I do not limit myself to traditional roles or boundaries. I consistently seek opportunities to expand programming, integrate real-world learning, and build inclusive spaces that empower students, families, and communities alike.
